Portishead ist eindeutig Musik, bei der man entweder heulen oder vögeln muß - oder beides nacheinander, in beliebiger Reihenfolge, eventuell auch abwechselnd.

Ah, wie schön, einer meiner Lieblingsbands die Ehre eines neuen Stichwortes zu erweisen.

Also, die Leute kommen aus einem Ort namens Portishead, das liegt wohl mitten auf der Insel, und gelten als Begründer des TripHop, gleich neben Massive Attack. Beth, die Sängerin, hat schon manche Träne aus mir hervorgelockt und auch die Live-Aufnahmen flashen mich jedes Mal. Diese zerbrechliche Frau, aber trotzdem tapfer, mit ihren Stirnrunzeln und der ständig qualmenden Zigarette. Die Musik, kräftig, traurig, melancholisch, und auf dem zweiten Album eher kratzend, zerrend, und ganz schön 60ies. In vielen Situationen passend, für Nächte allein oder zu zweit...

Ach, ich könnte noch ewig über die Musik weiterschreiben, aber das überlass ich jetzt euch!
