When things go wrong - A master's fears
The dangers of role play
Jon arrived a little early on what was to be a busy day. He was young looking, as he
had claimed, but his attempt at a school uniform was unconvincing. His acting was
convincing and I had to adopt my sternest manner in order to get him to take his
punishment in the proper manner. Every stroke registered.
John arrived just as Jon was leaving. He looked rather too old but his uniform was
impeccable. It was then that I realised I had muddled my appointments and
had caned the lad who had come to mow my lawns.
