Tandoori Chicken
Tandoori Murgh
2 lbs chicken pieces
1/2” piece of ginger
4 garlic cloves
1/2 cup plain yogurt
salt
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp coriander seeds, ground
1/2 tsp cumin seeds, ground
lemon juice
Skin the chicken, and pat dry with paper towel. Make deep cuts on the surface with a knife.
Mince ginger and garlic. Transfer to a small bowl and add the spices. Mix well, then rub the paste into the chicken and let marinate serveral hours in refrigerate.
Cook chicken on grill or in broiler, basting with leftover marinade and turning for even cooking. Serve with a dash of lemon juice. Serves 4 - 6.
